2019

OK, I ADMIT.
I faltered on my 2018 resolutions.

And so, my 2019 resolution would be to set more achievable resolutions.

When I think back, 2018 seemed very much like a sucky year. But then I realised, I attribute it all to work. I'm giving 2019 a renewed chance, especially since I'm starting my new job tomorrow (well, it was supposed to be today but I fell really ill).

My last 2 months of 2018 was amazing. I got to appreciate non-peak hour public transport, off-peak weekday meal discounts, have dinner at 6 or 7pm or essentially any time I wanted (sth that did not happen for 2 years / as long as I was in my prev company), Sundays were no longer so dreadful and essentially, I had the luxury of time.

While I know getting back into the workforce again means I can no longer enjoy non-peak hour public transport nor off-peak weekday meal discounts, but I sincerely hope that after 6pm, the time is truly mine to call my own. While I don't think this is a feasible wish, but I still hope that in my line of work, I have my own peak & off-peak seasons.

On to my achievable 2019 resolutions:

1) Get my driving license.
I'm already halfway there with my passing of BTT & FTT. Just waiting for my pay to roll in before I get started on classes.

2) Save $20k this year.
Possible? I hope so (especially since I've got no bonuses whatsoever sigh).

3) Learn more on video editing & upload more YouTube videos.
heh, sideline interest that I've already started on but hope to keep going.

4) Stay healthy, procrastinate a little less & have a little more determination.

And with that, I conclude my simple list of resolutions. Another year has flown by and I sincerely hope that the things I choose to invest my time in helps me reap the rewards I want in the future. May the Luck God shine down and smile brightly upon me :)

Have a very merry 2019 everyone. I hope we all get through this year alive, a little happier, a little stronger and with a little more faith!
