Korean Rice balls & Cake

HI EVERYONE! HAPPY DECEMBER!
It is unbelievable how this year has gone by so quickly. I was @ Jwest one moment and @ Singtel the next, now I'm @ SIM. WOW WHEE~
2011 has been treating me pretty well to be honest, but November however, did not. Hoping December would be a blast for me with all the events lined up! Sadly I need some consistent cash flow which I do not have MEH.
So anyhow, new month means new things so I'm doing something I've never done before which is showing you how to cook your very own

삼각주먹밥 Samgak Joomukbap

also known as Korean Rice Triangles & also

떡볶이 Ddukboggi

which are Korean Hot & Spicy Ricecakes.

All the korean craze since last year has obviously influenced me to follow their culture and man, DO.I.LOVE.THEIR.FOOD. Like what Emma said, everytime I eat Korean food I feel like I'm in heaven, like it's so blissful! keke hope she really does plan an outing in search of awesome authentic Korean food :) :)

Mooooooving on....
I used normal grained rice with more water than usual in hopes that it would be sticky but if possible use short grained rice instead. Much better.
Of course, Kim, korean seaweed, how can u miss that out?
I cheated and simply bought seasoning off the korean mart's shelf
The packet says that the seasoning serves 3 so I cooked rice equivalent of 3 person's share but I only used 2 packs of seasoning in order to achieve the taste :)
For me, 1 ball = 1 big ass huge of rice I scooped using a rice scooper.
In order to prevent the rice from sticking on to your hands, use a plastic bag. For me, I learned that it was easier to shape it into balls this way!
 According to size
Cheated again and bought ready packed kimchi hehe ;D
 End product!
Super satisfying! Felt it tasted great perhaps 'cuz it was the work of my own but anyhow, I guess it can't go wrong anyway.
Super easy to make, wouldn't recommend doing WITH your friends but instead making it FOR your friends.

Cooking this is BEYOND easy, even easier than cooking maggi mee no kidding.
But please take my advice and add extra ingredients like pork, leek, cong and cabbage if you can. Would really give it lots of flavour.
Mum cooked this and put it into the fridge shortly after 'cuz it's too plain and flour-y to eat. Gonna add more ingredients another day.

Hope I inspired any of you reading to cook the above!
If you must know, I went to Novena Square to get all these.
I am going to do Bibambap as soon as the store stocks up on their ready made chilli paste with pork.
Can't wait! Love fuss-free easy-to-prepare food that also taste great ^^

Have a nice month! XOXO
