1. Your friends approve- You’ll know he’s the right guy for you if your friends feel the same way. If your man hasn’t earned your friends’ stamp of approval, he might as well be waving a big red flag.
2. He gets along with your family- Introducing someone to your family can be awkward and tense— we can thank Ben Stiller for his excellent portrayal of all the worst-case scenarios. However, if he does mesh with the fam and becomes an instant member of your Dad’s “circle of trust,” then you’ll know he’s a keeper.
3. He listens to you- Communication is the foundation to any good relationship. If you’re trying to build a life with a guy who doesn’t think that what you have to say is important, your relationship will inevitably come crashing down. You need a man who truly listens to you.
4. You share the same values- You may say “tomay-to” while he says “tomah-to,” but there is no need to call the whole thing off. Just be certain that you both agree on what matters most in life. Finding a man who shares your ideals will make for a smooth ride.
5. He’s the type of person you would be friends with- You should have the same standards in your love life as you do socially. If you’re dating a guy who you would never be friends with, you might not be a good fit long-term.
6. You trust him- Without trust, your relationship is doomed to fail. If you can honestly say that you trust your man, you may have just found Mr. Right.
7. He makes you feel special- We all know that new-relationship high a little too well, but those feelings tend to dwindle as the days and months progress. If your man is still able to give you butterflies well into the relationship, then you’ve hit the jackpot.
8. He talks about the future- In your search for Mr. Right, you have to remember that he is also looking for a Mrs. Right. If your significant other verbalizes his thoughts on your future together, then it’s likely that he’s also considering you to be that special someone.
9. You feel secure- A man who is financially unfit may not be a good life partner. If your significant other can’t even take care of himself, how will he be able to take care of others? While we don’t recommend gold digging your way to your next boyfriend, we do think it’s important to feel secure in your relationship and in your financial future together.
10. He loves you for you- Surprisingly, this part has to come from you, not him. If you aren’t being true to yourself in a relationship, then he isn’t falling for the real you. Although we all want to be seen as perfect, the facade will eventually crumble. Be yourself and if he still loves you, you know he’s here to stay.
My mum used to think Nicholas&I would get married.
I mean, she thought that even if we broke up now, we would somehow get together in the future and marry each other ._. WHOA like... OKAY fortune teller much?
But recently, seeing how things are, she threw away that idea.
And as for me, after I read this 10 Signs to tell if he's Mr Right thing, I definitely know we're NEVER gonna get married.
Srsly, he isn't my Mr Right and I know I'm not his Miss Right, afterall, things have been exceptionally rough recently. I don't think I'll type out in detail how our relationship's going but yeah, things just don't feel right anymore.
We don't really hold hands, we don't really hug and we don't really do anything couples do. Take for instance, since before my 'A's till now, we've not gone out one-on-one. That's helluva long if you think about it.
Everytime he promises he'll dedicate an entire day to me, his friend(s) would somehow join in 'cuz we'd bump into them, or he'd say he has a hangover or (just yesterday) say he has to catch up with his sec school friends and cancel whatever we (vaguely) planned. There are times I get angry 'cuz I think it's his fault but most of the time it's just simply because he breaks his promises. I mean, srsly if you don't wanna keep it, don't make it! I totally understand that you've to catch up with sec school friends but at least tell me our plan was cancelled before I had to ask you! Is this less important than me having to tell you I have an interview at Prada in the afternoon when it was only scheduled in the morning? (srsly? you were angry I didn't tell you I had an interview for a job I wasn't sure I was gonna get?)
You claim I make a mountain outta a molehill but really, you think it's my fault?!
Hell, I could really go on about how unhappy I am about this relationship sometimes. But then we meetup (with my mum around - I'm not complaining) and everything seems ok again 'cuz we'd forget/avoid whatever we just quarreled about. It's so funny, this relationship.
When people thought we would last less than a month, we made it to what, 3 years?! That's a record man. But then, I don't know if our relationship lasted 'cuz of our sense of loyalty or just us being afraid of uttering "that few words". 'Cuz I know for sure I've srcewed up so many r/s by randomly (yes, randomly) speaking of "those few words". Even breaking up with people I don't want to.
Ugh, maybe I'm just really negative after not being able to find a job.
I think I really need a job to keep my mind off things.
But this would sound really easy IF ONLY SOMEONE WOULD EMPLOY ME!!!
So fucking annoyed.
Went to Prada ytd and us 4 interviewees thought we already got employed after she asked us for our ICs. But guess what, before she sent us off she said "I'll pass your profiles to the store manager and she'll pick one of you". And there you have it, I knew my chances of being employed was dashed right there and then since I was the youngest one there.
I've worked before but it was 'cuz my cousin was the manager or the person I bought my dress from wanted to hire me but I've never found a job on my own before and damn is it hard!
I swear I feel so fucking depressed just bumming around at home all day. Ok wait, I've only been home the entire day once since 'A's ended. What I mean is, I wish I could make my time more useful. At least earn some money and help my family or something. Even if the job is boring, at least let me earn money while bumming around somewhere in a store in town right?
It's so frustrating seeing your peers and juniors earning money while you're in front of the laptop close to tears.
I swear you don't know how lucky you guys are. Those that are working now. You may complain your job is so boring. But at least you're being payed to be bored.
I thought December was my month 'cuz there was just so many exciting plans and events that had taken place until I realised that every plan always got thwarted by something/someone hiding in the bushes, ready to take me down.
I hate life. Fuck life.
