(This is the view from up there. Breathtaking right I know.)
And I am finally back! I feel so pathetic that I'm only doing my New Year post today after everyone has written all their resolutions and stuff.
I will do something different. Something Elysia has seen me do.
My list of First Times:
In 2009, it was the first time I...
1. Went to Haji Lane
2. Been on the Singapore Flyer
3. Had a bottle of Bacardi to call my own
4. Held a birthday party I can actually remember
5. Spent so much on myself and bought so many outerwear and shoes! (my mum couldn't agree more)
6. Had so much to drink (& I don't mean canned drinks)
7. Got caught in a heavyheavy rain with a friend while cycling and didn't mind it :D
8. Saw the biggest dog in my entire life
9. Can truly call myself a blogshop addict
10. Stayed in Orchard
11. Ate a b'day cake straight from the box (Bimboang's!)
12. Went to Night Safari and rmb that I went there (not that I've never been there)
13. Touched a DSLR not to even say use it

19. Go crazy over someone younger than me (Justinbieber)
20. Send a 8 page long sms to a friend (Sujuan. today only!)
21. Did a First Times list ^^
And I know everything I wrote up there is pretty dumb but hey it's a compilation of my First Times over a span of say 4 months (?) which started when I was dead bored during class. And this kinda shows that I've had pretty many First Times in 2009 which makes it a meomorable year juz like how almost everyone else has deemed 2009 to be - Fantastic.
For me it wasn't exactly fantastic but it was truly a new chapter of my life where I joined a new instituition and was forced to make friends which turned out to be great. Every year there is always something that would make us remember it and this year probably has the most for me to remember about? :)
On to my hongkong trip...
I was over at hk with my mum and Nicholas.
I still cannot express how much I loved the weather! I loved it when it went down to 10 degrees (awesome!) and no matter how cold I complained it was at times, it was still awesome. Boots are an awesome invention.
They have awesome siew mai over there unlike S'pore where I never eat it cuz it tastes like plastic.
Being the me that I am, I (unsurprisingly) spent my allowance that my mum gave me specifically for the trip by the 3rd day (out of the 6 days) lol.
I also brought 5 pairs of shoes to Hongkong and brought back 7 pairs :D My mum cannot stop telling the whole world how I brought 5 pairs of shoes over -.-
I spent $50+ on a sequin bag and it totally ruined my outfit the next day by giving it horriblehorrible furrings! Am so mad I can't get over how lethal a beautiful bag can be.
Don't be fooled by people telling you how much of a shopping haven it is over there. The cotton on is sure cheaper over there (less than $5 for a bra?!?!) but other than that everything else is so goddamn expensive. Unless you have cash to spare, it isn't that great a place to shop. Sure, I bought feather hairbands that cost $18 in s'pore for $3 over there but srsly, something that cost $20 is already considered dirt cheap imagine that! The bags and shoes can naturally cost $100+ and that's not really very expensive. Am so disappointed.
Was also disappointed about H&M. Not as great as I imagined it to be.
But no matter how sucky people have portrayed the Disneyland@Hongkong to be, you must still go! The place is so magical! I felt like I was in a different world. The rides may not be the most exhilarating ones you can find but they are of top quality. Like, they use really good technology. Even the kiddiest rides are so fun even my mum enjoyed it :D
However, I found the most disgusting (and by disgusting I don't mean creepycrawly disgusting but morally disgusting) fact at Disneyland that made me and him cry. I still have no idea why he cried cuz he started it. It was the worst thing a gf could find out about her bf and it seems that he is still not confessing. He was really defensive about it but HELLO I am the one who should be yelling at you not the other way round. My mum even wished me goodluck. I have already started doubting him and I do not think I'm wrong to do so. I am just so disappointed by him. He is so much like my 1st bf.
Not a great way to start my 2010.
Talking about 2010, I spent my last few mins of 2009 and first few mins of 2010 at a steamboat restaurant! HAHA. We were all busy eating and when it counted down to 0, everyone juz stood up, yelled, clinked glasses and for me I learned how to say Happy New Year in cantonese XD
Honestly speaking, I am glad to be home. And I can't wait to see my friends but then again I don't wanna go back to school.
Thank you if you spared your last _ mins reading this post. I appreciate it and hope you had a glimpse into my thoughts and my xperience at hk ^.<
Happy New Year once again. Hope you guys had fun counting down and are enjoying your first few days of 2010 (Y)
